Job Summary
This role is for a senior software engineer who knows how to ship production systems, thinks in architectures not tickets, and is comfortable operating where AI, cloud, and automation intersect. You will be hands-on designing and building agent-based solutions that integrate deeply with Azure services and Microsoft platforms.
This is not an experimentation role. The expectation is durable systems, strong engineering hygiene, and pragmatic delivery.
Job Description
- Design, build, and scale an agent ecosystem running on Azure.
- Implement agent orchestration, tool use, memory, and workflow patterns.
- Build backend services and APIs that support multi-agent systems.
- Integrate agents with enterprise data sources, systems, and workflows.
- Partner with architects and product leaders to translate use cases into working systems.
- Own code quality, testing, security, and operational readiness.
- Make architectural tradeoffs with a bias toward simplicity and scale.
- Contribute to internal frameworks, standards, and best practices for agent development.
What Success Looks Like
- Agents are reliable, observable, and secure.
- Systems move from prototype to production without rewrites.
- Architecture decisions reduce long term complexity.
- Stakeholders trust the platform and want to build on it.
- You are seen as someone who gets things done, not someone who waits for perfect specs.
Ideal Mindset
- Builder mentality over academic curiosity.
- Comfortable making decisions and owning outcomes.
- Pragmatic about AI capabilities and limitations.
- Cares about maintainability, not just demos.
- Thinks in systems, not features.
Profile Description
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong experience building production systems on Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency in one or more backend languages commonly used in Azure environments such as C#, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience with cloud native architectures including APIs, messaging, storage, identity, and security.
- Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and reliability.
- Experience working in modern DevOps environments with CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to operate with incomplete requirements and move solutions forward.
Strongly Preferred Experience
- Copilot Studio.
- Microsoft SDKs and Graph integrations.
- Microsoft Agent Framework.
- Semantic Kernel.
- Azure AI Studio or Azure AI Foundry.
- Experience designing AI driven or automation heavy systems.
- Familiarity with prompt management, tool calling, and agent orchestration concepts.
