Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Solution Engineer (Java) with strong expertise in software engineering, cloud technologies, data engineering, and AI solutions. The role involves designing, building, deploying, and operating scalable cloud-native data and AI platforms using AWS, Snowflake, and Java. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience delivering enterprise-grade solutions, implementing best engineering practices, and collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to drive analytics and AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate end-to-end production-grade software and data solutions.
- Develop scalable, secure, and governed data pipelines and data products using AWS and Snowflake.
- Model, optimize, and maintain Snowflake datasets, schemas, and data structures for performance and quality.
- Apply software engineering best practices including clean code, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and secure development.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and identify opportunities for advanced analytics and AI.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and solution design.
- Build cloud-native integrations and automation using AWS services.
- Manage deployments, production operations, troubleshooting, performance tuning, incident resolution, and code reviews.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Java and software design principles.
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS (compute, storage, networking, IAM, security, monitoring, serverless/event-driven architectures).
- Expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling, schema design, and optimization.
- Experience building and operating enterprise-grade software, data, or AI-enabled solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC, Git, CI/CD, DevOps practices, automated testing, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or similar.
- Ability to convert complex business requirements into technical solutions and delivery plans.
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, communication, and production support skills.
Preferred Skills
- AWS Certification, preferably AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
- Experience with AWS AI services, particularly Amazon Bedrock.
- Knowledge of AI solution patterns including:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Agent-based AI architectures
- Model evaluation
- AI guardrails and responsible AI practices
- Familiarity with harness engineering, prompt engineering, evaluation loops, and AI-enabled development workflows.
- Financial services or financial markets domain experience.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in:

- Related technical discipline
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, solution engineering, or data engineering roles.
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade enterprise systems.
- Experience owning and operating cloud services, data products, or AI-enabled solutions with measurable business outcomes.
- Experience handling sensitive data and working with governance, risk, and security teams.
